Meet Our Staff

Lee D. May was born and raised in Washington, Ind., graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1974. He attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo., graduating in 1978. Lee and his wife, Kim, now reside in Bloomfield, Ind.

Lee began his insurance career selling life insurance through cold calls nearly 25 years ago. He is now Owner/Producer of Choice Insurance Agency, Inc. His “Choice project” began on Nov. 1, 2002, and now includes locations in Linton, Bloomfield and Bloomington.

In his spare time, Lee enjoys spending time with his family and friends, camping, traveling and taking care of his tree farm. He is a member of the Bloomfield Rotary Club, Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, Linton Chamber of Commerce, and Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

Robin French was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Ind., until she was in her teens and her family moved to the Bicknell area. She graduated from North Knox High School in 1982 and now resides in Linton. Robin earned an associate degree in Business Administration in 1992. In 2012, she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting and Human Resources.

Robin began her insurance career in 1999 as a Customer Service Representative (CSR). In 2002, she started working at Choice Insurance Agency with Lee May. She was the first employee. The agency had its first application signed on a cardboard box because the desks had not arrived yet. She is now the agency’s Operations Manager. Robin holds Property and Casualty (P&C) and Life/Health licenses as well as the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. Robin likes to spend time with her family, she loves to read, and she likes to do crafts when time allows. She is an extreme couponer, and she attends church at Mariah Creek Christian Church in Bicknell.

John Misz was born and raised in Anderson, Ind. He is a graduate of Anderson Madison Height High School class of 1978 and the Ball State University class of 1982. John and his family currently reside in Bloomington, Ind.

John started his insurance career in 1983 as a Sales and Marketing trainee in Owatonna, Minn. He is now an Insurance Producer with Choice Insurance Agency. He enjoys helping people obtain the proper protection of their assets at a fair cost.

John likes to spend time with his wife and children. He likes to golf, do DIY projects, and travel.

Heidi Puckett was born in Fayetteville, NC, and grew up on the outskirts of Fort Bragg, NC. She graduated high school from Cape Fear Christian Academy and from college at Ivy Tech State with a Digital Marketing Certificate.

Heidi now resides in Linton, Ind. She is married to the love of her life, Brandon, and they have two sons, Avery and Ian. She loves crocheting, going on road trips and going to concerts. Heidi started her insurance career in September 2017 at Choice Insurance Agency. What she loves about being an agent is the people and being able to help them.

Amy Bedwell grew up in Terre Haute, Ind. She became a resident of Linton in 2003 when she married her husband, Justin. They are the proud parents of Brady Bedwell. Amy built a reputation for providing exceptional customer service during her 13 years at the Linton Shopping Center working for Mr. Joe Angell in his various businesses and later as a legal assistant for attorney Marvin Abshire.

It is Choice Insurance Agency’s focus on the customer that drew her to the agency in January 2019. “My previous employers have taught me that the most important element of success in business is to take care of the customer.” Amy looks forward to cultivating strong relationships with members of the community by helping them properly insure against their exposures so that should they experience a loss, they will have a better claim experience.
